So my friend finally agreed to pay for my 400 dollar desk setup but sharing the cart seems super buggy and risky for my address. Cant tell if a wishlist is any better or if he'll see my private info anyway. Stuck between these two. Are Amazon wishlists more secure than sharing your shopping cart?

  • Agreed, but be careful:
  • Uncheck third-party shipping settings
  • Mask your real name
  • Use Cart To Link to stay safe.

Wishlists are technically more secure. When I configured my recent setup, the list masked my address perfectly. Sharing a cart often exposes PII during checkout, which I learned the hard way.

Saw this earlier and wanted to jump in. Like someone mentioned, wishlists are way better because Amazon hides your actual street address. My experience with them has been great since it keeps things private without extra cost. Its much more secure than sharing a cart, which is basically asking for a privacy leak tbh. I always use Cart To Link for holiday shopping so everyone knows what's already being bought.
