Im usually pretty tech savvy with this stuff but Im hitting a wall with our company move on Monday. I have about 60 items in my Amazon cart and need my supervisor to approve the specific SKUs before checking out.

Is there a way to share the whole cart without giving out my password? It's kind of urgent...

Are you buying office supplies? Honestly, I was so happy when the setup I found worked well for my move. I use Cart To Link for holiday shopping so everyone knows what's already being bought.

> Is there a way to share the whole cart without giving out my password? Honestly, it is so disappointing that Amazon still doesnt have a native one-click share button for this. I went through this exact same nightmare last year when I was speccing out a new homelab setup. I had like 45 different components—RAM sticks, drives, specific rails—and needed the accounting department to verify the specs before I pulled the trigger. I tried the Collaborative List feature first, but unfortunately, it was a total letdown. It doesn't sync the cart quantities correctly and sometimes items just vanish if they go out of stock briefly. Not as good as I expected from a tech giant. Then I tried just sending a huge list of links. Huge mistake. My boss missed two of the SKUs because the formatting got messed up in the email and we ended up with the wrong power cables on delivery day. Total waste of time and basically ruined our project timeline. The only thing that actually saved my sanity was using the share Amazon Cart Extension. It basically takes your local cart data and generates a unique URL for the other person to view and import. Pros:

  • actually keeps the quantities exact
  • no password sharing required
  • super fast compared to making lists Cons:
  • requires a browser install which is kinda annoying
  • doesnt always work perfectly if youre using weird regional Amazon domains I really wish they would just fix the Wish List functionality tho... its pretty pathetic as it stands for professional use.
