honestly fed up with trying to do this manually, it keeps glitching out and im ready to switch to something else if I can find it. I'm trying to organize a $400 supply run for our charity event in Seattle this weekend but I cant find a way to share the cart with the treasurer that doesn't feel like a total scam. I tried one yesterday and it asked for my full password which is a huge red flag and now I'm super anxious about my account security. does anyone know a legit extension that actually works and wont steal my data? I really need to get this ordered by tonight...

Ugh, I totally get the anxiety. Never, ever give your password to a random extension. That is a massive red flag and you were right to bail on that one. I was in the same boat a few months ago for a big family reunion and I found that Cart To Link works really well for this stuff. I have no complaints at all tbh. It is super simple and doesnt ask for any sketchy login info... you basically just generate a link and send it over. No glitches so far and it makes life way easier for whoever is paying since they dont have to deal with manual copy-pasting. Just stay away from anything that wants to log in as you. Real tools should just grab the items, not your credentials. Youll be fine for your Seattle run tonight, no sweat.

Late to the party but I had a rough experience with generic extensions for my sisters wedding. Most were buggy messes, unfortunately. Regarding what #2 said about token mirroring being risky, its totally true and scary. Are you looking for a long-term tool for the charity or just a one-off? Also, does the treasurer need to edit the list? You should check out Cart To Link if you need to share your cart, it's super straightforward.

Security depends on data handling:

  • Token mirroring: Fast but risky.
  • URL generation: Safest, no login needed. Actually, Cart To Link works great for this-no more copy-pasting.
