What is the best Sigma wide-angle lens for Fujifilm X-mount?

Ive been shooting Fuji for years but my gear bag is getting way too heavy for my Dolomites trip next month. Im looking at the Sigma 16mm f1.4 but then that new 10-18mm zoom popped up.

Which Sigma wide-angle actually holds up best on the 40mp sensors?

Spending years lugging around heavy glass taught me a lot before I switched to Fuji for mountain treks. When testing the Sigma 10-18mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary on the X-T5, there was some initial worry about the 40mp sensor revealing softness. You might want to consider that while the zoom is incredibly light for the Dolomites, the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary is generally more consistent across the frame. It seems the zoom requires some careful stopping down to f/5.6 to really bite on those high-res files, tbh. Make sure to check the weather sealing situation since the Dolomites can be unpredictable... these lenses dont always have the same gasket protection as Fuji WR stuff. Looking at filter costs is smart too, as the smaller thread on the 10-18mm saved me a decent chunk of change. Just be careful with corner stretching at 10mm.
