honestly im so annoyed right now because I just spent all this money on a new Z6 II and it feels like i cant even use the thing yet. the battery life is straight up garbage compared to my old d750 and I realize now i have no cards that fit the fast slot. I have a huge wedding gig in Oregon next Friday and im panicking. I need to know what is actually worth buying before I go broke.

  • dual batteries that wont explode
  • a cfexpress card that doesnt cost $300
  • maybe a screen protector??

budget is like $400-500 max because i am tapped out. help me not fail this wedding...

Man, I totally get the panic. Moving from a D750 to mirrorless is a massive shock to the system because the battery life is just... yeah, its different. You really need to be careful with your power management during a long gig like a wedding. I would suggest focusing on these:

  • For power, you might want to consider biting the bullet on official Nikon spare batteries. If you go third-party, maybe look at a brand like Watson or Wasabi, but make sure to test them before the big day so they dont fail on you.
  • You definitely need a CFexpress Type B card for that fast slot. Just get any mid-range one from SanDisk or ProGrade. You dont need the top-tier ones yet, just something reliable.
  • Get a screen protector. Any generic tempered glass brand works fine. Just make sure to keep a charger handy in the bridal suite... you're gonna need it.
