I saw stuff about Wish Lists online but that seems way too slow for my dorm haul and I need it by Friday. My logic was that I could just click a share link but it keeps opening a blank cart for my mom... am I missing a simple button somewhere?
been thinking about this for a few hours and honestly you gotta be careful with the manual method because its so easy to miss stuff. i would suggest using a Amazon cart sharer tool instead of trying to screenshot everything. make sure to double check the subtotal before she pays so you dont get overcharged or miss out on any bundle deals. dorm shopping is so stressful tho... reminds me of when i spent like sixty bucks on those color-changing led strips for my first room and they literally blew a fuse the first night. i was so bummed because i spent all my extra food money on them. but yeah definitely look into a tool so you dont lose your cart.
Amazon still not having a simple share button is honestly so disappointing... youd think they would have figured this out by now. Its really not as good as it should be for such a huge site. Using screenshots is a mess and honestly just asking for mistakes because things get missed so easily. I have a couple questions tho to see what else might work:
Oh man, I totally feel your pain! I remember when I was setting up my first studio apartment and tried to do this exact same thing with my parents... it was a total nightmare trying to read off item names while they typed them in! Amazon is super weird about it because your cart is tied to your specific login session, so a direct link just wont work for anyone else. Its honestly so annoying but there are some amazing ways around it! You should definitely check out browser extensions, they are a total life saver. Go with the Google Chrome store, you really cant go wrong and it makes the whole process feel so much more modern! The way things are getting these days is just fantastic compared to the old days of copy-pasting. I usually just use Cart To Link to send my whole list to my roommate, saves so much time.
Building on the earlier suggestion, Amazon unfortunately makes this way harder than it needs to be. I had issues with the link thing too, its just not as good as it should be for how much we pay them.
