What are the absolute must-have accessories for the DJI Mini 4 Pro that I actually need before my trip to the Scottish Highlands in three weeks? I am honestly kind of panicking because I spent basically my whole budget on the drone itself and I am realizing I might have missed some vital stuff to keep it safe or get good footage. I am looking at ND filters right now and I am totally torn between the official DJI set or the Freewell All Day pack. The Freewell ones seem like a way better deal but I am scared they might mess with the gimbal calibration or something, has anyone had issues with that?
Also I am really worried about the ground being uneven or wet where I am going. Should I get a foldable landing pad or those clip-on landing gear extensions? The legs look easier to pack but I read somewhere they can add weight and push it over the 250g limit which would be a total nightmare for the local regs there. I have only got about $100 left to spend after the drone purchase so I cant just buy everything.
Is it better to prioritize the filters for the cinematic look or the protection and landing stuff? The wind up there is gonna be crazy and I dont want to ruin the lens or the motors on my first day out. I am leaning towards the Freewell filters and just hand-launching but my hands shake when I am nervous so that might be a disaster... what do you guys think is the safest bet for a beginner?
ngl i bought the Freewell All Day 6-Pack ND Filters for DJI Mini 4 Pro and they work well, zero gimbal issues. seriously happy with the quality for the price. skip the landing gear tho, you dont wanna mess with that weight limit. just get a cheap Startrc Foldable Landing Pad 50cm instead. its way safer for the motors in tall grass and keeps u under budget.
Just saw this and I am so excited for your trip! Scotland is gonna be amazing! One quick thing tho, are you planning to shoot mostly during the golden hour or in the middle of the day? That really impacts which filters you should prioritize for that cinematic look. If you want to save money, the K&F Concept DJI Mini 4 Pro ND Filter Set 6-Pack is a fantastic choice and very budget friendly! To help with those shaky hands, I love the Cynova DJI RC 2 Controller Lanyard. It keeps the remote steady against your chest and is a total lifesaver when youre nervous in the wind. Also, make sure you have a fast card like the SanDisk Extreme 128GB microSDXC V30 so you dont get any recording errors mid-flight. Definitely skip the clip-on landing gear to stay under that 250g limit. Youre gonna have a blast!
> The wind up there is gonna be crazy What wind speeds in m/s are you expecting? Tbh are you prioritizing shutter speed control or keeping the drone under the 249g mass since it's a legal limit?
