What accessories are actually essential for the Mini 3 Pro because I just got mine and the transmission range in my hilly Seattle neighborhood is making me super anxious? Ive been flying drones for five years now mostly old Phantoms so Im used to bulkier stuff but this little thing feels so fragile. Im heading to Iceland in three weeks for a dream trip and I need to know what I absolutely have to buy so I dont lose it over a glacier or something. My budget is around 300 bucks for extras.

  • should I get the plus batteries or do they mess with the weight limit too much
  • are ND filters actually necessary for that fixed 1.7 aperture
  • maybe a better case than the fly more one because it feels cramped

I just dont want to get out there and realize I forgot something basic...

> should I get the plus batteries or do they mess with the weight limit too much Iceland wind is no joke. The DJI Intelligent Flight Battery Plus 3850mAh gives more flight time for gusts, but be careful as it puts you over the 250g limit. The Smatree Waterproof Hard Case for Mini 3 Pro is safer than the stock bag, while the Lykus Titan MM310 Hard Case has better foam organization. Watch out for those local regs tho.

Im super satisfied with Freewell All Day 6-Pack ND Filters for Mini 3 Pro. They work well for that wide aperture and honestly youll be happy with the results. No complaints!

Re: "> should I get the plus batteries or..." - honestly you should just go on YouTube for this! There are so many creators who have done crazy wind resistance tests with the DJI Mini 3 Pro in harsh environments. Just search for mini 3 pro battery life iceland and you will get dozens of videos showing exactly how it handles the gusts. I remember watching one that was super thorough... really saved me some cash. Iceland is just fantastic though! I spent a week there and the scenery is totally unreal, although I actually spent half my budget on those expensive gas station sandwiches because I kept forgetting to pack a lunch lol. Those ham and cheese ones are actually weirdly good when youre freezing your toes off near a glacier. Anyway, just look up those drone travel vlogs on Reddit or something, they have the best gear breakdowns... but yeah.
