I'm in the market for a new drone and I'm considering the DJI Mini 4 Pro. However, I've heard rumors about the upcoming release of the Mini 5 Pro. The Mini 4 Pro seems to have great features and performance, but I'm wondering if it's worth waiting for the Mini 5 Pro.
Does anyone have insights on the potential improvements or new features that might be included in the Mini 5 Pro? Is it worth waiting, or should I go ahead and purchase the Mini 4 Pro? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Helpful thread 👍
Building on the earlier suggestion, Ive found over the years that waiting for unannounced tech usually just wastes months of good flying weather. In my experience, looking at hardware longevity is more important than chasing the newest release cycle. If you want a drone that will still feel relevant in three years, you might want to look at a different weight class.
If you need a drone now, I'd say go for the DJI Mini 4 Pro. It's an excellent little drone with impressive features like 4K/60fps video, 48MP photos, 34 min flight time, and great obstacle avoidance. The Mini 5 Pro will likely be an incremental upgrade, so unless you absolutely must have the latest and greatest, the Mini 4 Pro is a solid choice that will serve you well.
