Im so excited right now because my sisters big 21st birthday is coming up in three weeks and I finally found the perfect theme! I am located in Chicago and I have been scouring Amazon for like four hours today. I found this amazing rose gold balloon arch, some cute fairy lights, and a custom cake topper that looks so professional. My mom said she would cover the cost up to 150 dollars which is so nice of her since I am a broke student.

The thing is I have about 12 items sitting in my cart ready to go but I cant figure out how to show her what I picked. I tried copying the web address at the top of the browser but when I sent it to her in a text she said it just showed her own empty cart... so embarrassing lol. I really dont want to give her my login info or password because I have some other private stuff on my account I dont want her seeing.

Sorry if this is a really basic thing but I seriously have no idea where to start looking for a share button. Is there like a way to make a link that just sends my whole cart to her so she can just click buy? I looked all over the checkout page and maybe Im just blind but I dont see anything. Is this even a thing you can do or am I just dreaming?

Re: "Building on the earlier suggestion, I agree that..." - honestly, relying on the native share features is just asking for a headache. Ive been an Amazon power user since the early days and when you are trying to stick to a tight budget like 150 bucks, you really cant afford any mix-ups. I remember trying to coordinate a group gift for my roommate years ago using just screenshots and we ended up with three of the same blender and no money left for the actual party food... it was a mess. Since you are a student and watching the pennies, precision is key. There is a tool called Cart To Link that I use all the time now. It creates a single link that preserves every detail of your cart, so your mom sees the exact rose gold items you picked without you having to hand over your login. It really helps avoid that awkward moment where the price changes or the wrong quantity gets added. Some quick budget tips from my experience:

  • Look for the clip coupon buttons on those fairy lights, they are usually hidden right under the price.
  • Check if any items have a hidden shipping fee that might put you over the limit.
  • Sometimes adding one tiny cheap item can actually trigger a better discount on a bundle. It definitely beats the stress of worrying if she got the right stuff. Hope the Chicago party is awesome, 21 is a huge milestone.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I agree that tools are better, but honestly wish lists are just disappointing for party planning. They dont save the right quantities and it becomes a mess... super frustrating. Ive had way more luck using a specific Amazon cart sharer to get things done. Native options are just too clunky for a 12 item order.

Amazon doesnt have a button, so I use Share-A-Cart or Wish Lists.

  • Lists: slow
  • Extension: quick, works well Honestly, the extension is my favorite way to share!
