I'm literally pulling my hair out trying to figure this out. My friend and I are going camping in the Rockies next weekend and I have about 12 items in my cart like a tent and some stoves but I cant find any way to just send the whole list to him so he can check it over before I buy everything. I looked everywhere for a share button or something but I just see the checkout button and it's making me so mad.
Sorry if this is like really basic but I dont use Amazon that much and I'm totally lost. Is there a way to send the cart or do I have to like screenshot everything one by one?
Amazon keeps the cart locked to your specific session and cookies for security, so a direct link will never work for someone else. Its annoying but prevents people from hijacking your checkout. If you want a more technical workaround than just screenshots, you have a few options to get those 12 items over to him.
^ This. Also, I totally feel your pain because I went through the exact same nightmare when I was prepping for a heavy gear trip last fall! I had a massive haul including a Big Agnes Copper Spur tent and a MSR WhisperLite stove... verifying specs with my partner was a total slog. I honestly discovered the most amazing solution that saved me hours of manual data entry. Basically, you can use a browser tool like the share Amazon Cart Extension which is absolutely fantastic for this specific problem! It generates a unique URL for your current session items without compromising security. Its incredibly efficient for checking technical specs on expensive gear before hitting buy. Just be sure to double-check the quantities because sometimes these tools get finicky with regional SKUs. Seriously changed how I coordinate gear buys tho!
Yeah, Amazon doesnt have a direct share button in the cart itself, which is pretty annoying. A decent option is moving everything to a Wish List and sharing that link instead. Just click move to list on each item and then send him the invite link. It works well enough for planning trips. Actually, Cart To Link works great for this—no more copy-pasting individual product links.
