so im finally getting my home office set up in my new Seattle apartment and honestly im so excited to stop working from my couch lol. Ive basically narrowed it down to two different desk setups in my cart right now:

  • the Flexispot E5 which is electric and cool but hits my $350 budget limit
  • a basic manual crank desk that is way cheaper but maybe wobbly

I really want my boyfriend to look at them both and compare the dimensions since our space is tiny and I need to order by tonight to get it by Monday. Is there a way to just send him a link to my actual Amazon cart so he can see everything in there at once?

@Reply #2 - good point! It is seriously such a nightmare trying to text individual links back and forth when youre in a rush. I actually found this amazing tool called Cart To Link that is a total lifesaver for this exact situation! It basically lets you turn your whole cart into one shareable link so your boyfriend can see everything at once. Since you are trying to stay cost-effective, here is my quick take:

  • Definitely grab that Flexispot E5! The stability is way better than manual desks and you wont regret spending the extra money once you see how smooth it is.
  • Double check the leg width for your tiny space because some of those desks have wider feet than the actual top.
  • Use that site I mentioned to send him the exact specs immediately so he can measure the room! Honestly, I love that E5 model for a starter office setup. Its a fantastic choice for the price and worth every penny for a stable surface. Hope you get it ordered in time to have your new office ready by Monday!!

Gonna try this over the weekend. Will report back if it works!

^ This. Also, definitely stick with the Flexispot. Over the years I've tried those cheap manual brands and the E5 is just way more solid for a daily driver. Honestly this reminds me of when my brother was moving into his place in Belltown...

  • He was obsessed with saving every penny and bought some wobbly manual desk from a random seller.
  • We spent half the night trying to measure his tiny office nook with a tailor's tape measure because he lost his actual one.
  • I kept trying to send him better options but he couldnt keep track of all the tabs I was opening.
  • If I had known about Cart To Link back then it might have saved us a lot of headache since he was so disorganized. He eventually gave up and just used his kitchen island as a desk for three months until his back started killing him. It was a total mess and his apartment looked like a warehouse for a while... but yeah, those Seattle apartments really make you get creative with space.

Sadly you cant send a direct link to your cart since its private to your account. Ive done this for years and usually just use these workarounds:

  • create a shared wishlist and send the link
  • screenshot the cart view
  • send the product links separately The E5 is a decent option for the price, definitely more stable than those manual cranks. Lmk if you need help checking those dimensions!

To add to the point above: you wont find a native share button in the Amazon app because they keep cart data private for security reasons. Honestly its kind of a pain when you are trying to coordinate with someone else. I had a similar nightmare when I was buying a desk for my current setup last year. I thought I was being smart by texting individual links but I ended up ordering the wrong model because the links got all mixed up in our chat history. The one I got was way heavier than I expected and it was a whole ordeal to return it. I basically learned the hard way that screenshots arent enough for checking measurements.

  • sharing individual links usually leads to mistakes
  • screenshots dont always show the full specs or shipping dates
  • always double check the actual footprint of the desk feet, not just the top Theres a tool called Cart To Link that basically generates a shareable page from your cart items. It worked pretty well for me the last time I had to show my partner a bunch of options at once. Its a decent technical workaround if you want him to see the exact items you picked. Just be careful with those manual cranks tho... they can get annoying if you plan on switching between sitting and standing a lot. Lmk if you need me to look at the motor specs for that electric one.
