I just picked up the X-T5 for a big trip to Iceland in like 14 days and honestly I'm kinda losing my mind with it. Ive been shooting Fuji for a decade started with the X-T1 and I thought I knew exactly what I needed but this body feels different in the hand. The battery life is supposedly better with the W235s but I went out for a test hike yesterday and I was down to 20 percent way faster than I expected maybe it was the ibis working overtime or something.

Also the ergonomics are driving me nuts I keep hitting the d-pad by accident when I have my gloves on which is gonna be a nightmare in the cold. I already have a couple fast SD cards but I feel like I'm missing something crucial to make this setup actually travel friendly for a 10 day trek. I have about 300 bucks left in my gear budget for this trip and I really dont want to waste it on junk that just sits in the bag.

What are you guys actually using for the X-T5 when you're on the move? Like is there a specific thumb grip or a baseplate that actually makes a difference for the handling without adding a ton of weight? I need to figure this out before I head to Reykjavik...

In my experience, that body feels a bit cramped with gloves on. I've tried many setups and the SmallRig L-Shape Grip for FUJIFILM X-T5 4136 is basically essential for handling. It gives your pinky a spot to rest and keeps your palm away from those buttons. Also, grab another Fujifilm NP-W235 Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery. Iceland cold is no joke for electronics, trust me.
