What are the absolute best cheap accessories to fix the handling on my X-T30 II?

Im honestly so tired of how uncomfortable this thing is to hold and my hand is already cramping. I leave for Tokyo next week and only have like $45 left for grips or thumb rests. It keeps slipping and its driving me crazy...

In my experience, the X-T30 II is way too cramped out of the box. I have tried many cheap setups over the years to fix Fuji ergonomics without breaking the bank, and you can definitely get this sorted before your trip under that $45 budget. Here is how the two main budget options compare:

  • JJC HG-XT30 Metal Hand Grip: This attaches to the bottom and gives your fingers a solid front bump to wrap around. It completely stops the hand cramping and adds a built-in Arca-Swiss plate for tripods. The only real downside is it makes the camera a bit heavier, but the handling improvement is massive.
  • JJC TA-XT30 Thumb Up Grip: This slides right into the hot shoe. It gives your thumb a great leverage point on the back. Its super cheap, lightweight, and keeps the camera small. The main con is you lose access to the hot shoe for flash, and it doesnt help your front fingers as much as a bottom grip. For a trip to Tokyo where you will be walking and shooting all day, I highly recommend getting both. They actually fit together perfectly, stay under your budget limit, and make the camera feel way more secure in hand.
