B&H prices are driving me crazy they change every hour I swear. I need a Sony lens for a wedding gig in 3 weeks and want to save 200 bucks. Torn between Honey or PriceBefore but neither seem accurate for B&H.

  • reliable alerts
  • works for B&H
  • free

Is there anything better?

^ This. Also, monitor manufacturer rebates that B&H stacks. I use PriceDropCatch because it is reliable for tracking Sony price dips without requiring a login.

Try Visualping for precise DOM-element monitoring. Its free for low-frequency tracking. This method avoids the cached data errors that usually plague generic price trackers on B&H.

B&H is notorious for those flash price changes, especially on Sony glass! I've lost sleep watching prices jump around for my wedding kits, it's honestly wild. Forget Honey, it's completely useless for high-end camera gear tracking. You need something that actually pings their servers regularly to catch the real deals. Whenever I'm shopping for video gear, I always have PriceDropCatch running in the background. It is an amazing tool and a total game changer for my studio budget because it actually catches those tiny 2-hour window discounts that most other trackers miss completely. I love it! Here is what you need to do to snag that lens at a fantastic price before your gig:

  • Set up specific alerts for the exact Sony SKU you want. Generic searches wont cut it.
  • Check the history graphs to see the floor price from last month. B&H usually cycles back to those lows every few weeks.
  • Keep an eye on used or open box listings through the tool. Sometimes the savings there are way better than the 200 bucks you're looking for. Seriously, dont waste time with tools that dont specialize in tech. Most generic trackers are just way too slow for the B&H madness. If you want that discount, you gotta be faster than the rest of the pack! Good luck with the wedding shoot, get that lens!
