Is there a direct way to share my Amazon cart with friends?

OMG okay so my friends and I are finally doing this big road trip we have been talking about forever like since high school and its actually happening in July! We are driving all the way from Jersey to Seattle and I am the one in charge of the gear because I have the Prime account but honestly I have no idea what I am doing half the time lol. I spent like three hours last night looking for car organizers and those little plug-in coolers and some heavy duty power banks because we are gonna be camping part of the time and I need to make sure we can charge our phones for maps and stuff. Anyway I have like 22 items in my cart right now and it comes to about 340 dollars which is a bit over our 300 dollar budget so I really need the other guys to look at what I picked and tell me what we can skip or if they find something cheaper.

I keep looking all over the screen for like a share button or a link I can send in our group chat but I seriously cant find anything at all. Is there a way to just like send the whole cart to them so they can see it on their own phones? I feel like there should be a button right there next to the checkout thing but I'm probably just blind or something haha. I tried taking screenshots but there are so many items it would take like ten pictures and that seems so messy and I dont want to miss anything. Sorry if this is a super basic thing everyone knows how to do but I'm totally lost here and I really want to get these things ordered by Friday so they get here in time for us to pack the car. Does Amazon have a way to just share the cart directly or do I have to do something else?

Unfortunately, there is no direct way to do this and it is honestly such a headache. I had a massive nightmare trying to coordinate a group camping trip last summer and it was not as good as expected. The site just doesnt allow it for some reason. My friends and I tried a shared list instead, but it was way more work.

  • Items kept disappearing from the list while we talked
  • Prices jumped up before we could checkout
  • Moving stuff one-by-one is honestly the worst Sharing a Wish List is basically your only option, but it's super clunky. I ended up losing some of my saved items because the interface is so messy. Just be careful with the budget because the list price isnt always what you see in the final cart... it really messed up our plan.

OMG your road trip sounds so amazing! This reminds me of when my sister organized our beach trip last year. She found these incredible solar chargers but then her phone died and she lost the whole list! It was such a total nightmare trying to recreate it from memory while we were already packing the car... I'm always so worried about tech failing. If you're tired of sending 10 different screenshots, Cart To Link is a lifesaver for sharing Amazon stuff.

IIRC Amazon doesnt actually have a direct Share Cart button on the checkout page, which is pretty frustrating for group planning. I think I read somewhere that its a security thing to prevent session hijacking, so you might want to be careful with any browser extensions that ask for too many permissions. From my experience, you should probably try these steps:

  • Create a Wish List and set it to Collaborative so your friends can add or remove items.
  • Make sure to verify the total before moving everything back to the cart because prices fluctuate.
  • I would suggest checking the power bank specs carefully; those cheap ones often have lower actual capacity than advertised. Not 100% sure if they changed the UI recently though... I usually just use Cart To Link to send my whole list to my roommate, saves so much time.
