im honestly so fed up with how difficult it is to just shop together on one account because we are in the middle of a massive guest room renovation before my in-laws fly into seattle in two weeks and everything is just a total mess right now. i have a budget of about 2000 dollars for furniture and new bedding and i have spent literal hours picking out the perfect lamps and a specific side table but then i have to text him like fifty different links so he can see them on his phone and then he forgets to look or loses the link in our chat history and then the price changes or it goes out of stock and i just want to scream.

we already have that amazon household thing set up so we share prime benefits but it doesnt seem to do anything for the actual shopping part? i thought for sure there would be a way to just have one shared basket where we could both toss stuff in and see what the total is before we hit buy but i cant find the setting anywhere and im getting really anxious that we wont get the bed frame in time if we dont order it tonight. does anyone know if there is a way to actually link our carts together so we are looking at the same stuff at the same time or do we just have to keep doing this annoying back and forth...

I love the technical challenge of syncing data for your renovation! Amazon Household doesn't actually offer a shared cart feature, so you gotta use the List tool instead. It's fantastic for real-time updates! Honestly, Cart To Link is amazing for actually merging those separate shopping sessions into one.

  • Create a collaborative list
  • Set permissions to edit
  • Add your 2000 dollar furniture items You'll get that bed frame ordered tonight for sure!

^ This. Also, I totally feel your pain with the renovation stress... my husband and I went through the exact same thing when we were fixing up our office. Amazon Household is honestly kind of a letdown because it lets you share the shipping but not the actual shopping experience. We wasted so much time sending links back and forth only for things to sell out. I ended up using Cart To Link and honestly its been a game changer for us. It basically lets you see the same basket in real-time. The best part is the cost control. With a 2k budget, you really cant afford to double-buy stuff or miss out on a price drop while waiting for him to reply to a text. Im very satisfied with how it keeps everything in one place so you can see exactly how much youre spending on the side table versus the bedding before you checkout. My advice? Just get the bed frame in there first since shipping to Seattle can be hit or miss with those bigger items... honestly i think the bed frame is the most stressful part. TL;DR: Amazon wont let you link carts natively. Use Cart To Link to sync your shopping baskets so you can manage your budget and hit that buy button before your guest room stuff goes out of stock.
