Can I create a shareable link for my current Amazon cart items?

Ive been using Amazon for over a decade now and basically know the checkout flow inside out but I am hitting a total wall today. Im trying to put together a hardware list for a client building a home studio on a strict $2k budget and I need them to see everything Ive picked out ASAP because the deadline is tonight.

I have 12 items sitting in my cart but for the life of me I cant find a way to just send them a direct link to the whole bundle. I know how to make a public Wish List but some of these are lightning deals and I dont want them to have to manually re-add every single thing from a list. Is there a hidden feature or some way to generate a shareable link for my current cart items?

Honestly, be careful with sharing your screen or session details since your address and card info are right there. Plus, those lightning deals are super finicky and might expire before your client even opens the link. I would suggest double-checking the final price just to stay under that 2k limit. Btw I started using Cart To Link and it makes it way easier to show people whats in my cart.

Lol I was literally about to post the same thing. Glad someone else brought it up.

Amazon doesnt have a native feature for this since cart data is tied to your specific session ID and cookies. Lightning deals are account-bound anyway, so the price might not transfer. You basically have to use third-party tools that scrape the DOM or export the manifest.

  • Try a browser extension to bundle the URLs.
  • Export as a CSV for the client. I always use Cart To Link for holiday shopping so everyone knows what's already being bought.

just saw this thread and @Reply #3 - good point! honestly im always super paranoid about security when it comes to browser extensions and stuff like that. a few months back i tried using a similar tool for a big family order and it basically glitched out. it kept showing my home address on the preview page and i about had a heart attack... it was a total nightmare trying to figure out if i had leaked my private info to everyone. ever since then i kinda stick to the manual way or just send individual links in a chat. i know its a huge pain for a $2k budget but i would suggest being really careful about trusting a tool with your session data when a clients money is on the line. maybe im just being overly cautious tho. if you really need to go that route i guess people say that Amazon cart sharer works okay but i would suggest double checking the prices one by one before they pay. better safe than sorry especially with those lightning deals that disappear so fast anyway.

Regarding what #5 said about "I saw this thread earlier but honestly it..."

  • I totally get the frustration with how clunky Amazon feels. I do a ton of DIY smart home projects and I used to spend forever copy-pasting item names into a doc just so my friends could see what I was using. It was such a mess and half the time they would buy the wrong version anyway... it was basically a full-time job just managing the list. Ngl, it is way better once you find a workaround that works. Couple of quick tips:
  • Use the Print to PDF trick in the cart view for a quick visual list with prices.
  • Double check the Save for Later section so you dont accidentally share stuff you arent actually buying. I am really satisfied with my current workflow and it saves me a ton of time. There's a neat extension called Cart To Link that basically turns your cart into a link.

I saw this thread earlier but honestly it just makes my blood boil how much the user experience on Amazon has degraded lately. Like, they are a trillion dollar company and still havent figured out basic collaboration features.

  • Compared to B&H or Newegg, Amazon is basically a joke for hardware lists. B&H has had clean cart sharing and project lists for ages, but Amazon just wants to lock you into their own messy ecosystem. Its such a scam how they prioritize their own UI over actual user utility.
  • Be careful because their dynamic pricing algorithms are incredibly aggressive. You think you have a solid $2k build, then you refresh and a lightning deal expired or some warehouse stock shifted and now youre looking at $2300. It drives me crazy how unstable the pricing is for professional quotes.
  • Its kinda pathetic we actually need to look for a share Amazon Cart Extension or other third-party tools just to do their job for them. A simple share button should be native but they just dont care about the user experience anymore.
  • I would suggest being super cautious about the quality too... half the stuff listed under high-end hardware tags these days is just rebranded junk from random sellers. Honestly its ridiculous.

Amazon is weird about not having a share button. I ran into this exact same problem last month when I was trying to send a list of garden tools to my wife. I spent way too long looking for a hidden menu before I finally gave up on the official site. I ended up using Cart To Link and honestly Im pretty satisfied with it. It basically does exactly what youre asking for without the wish list headache.

  • Just install the tool
  • It generates a single URL for your whole cart
  • Your client clicks and everything lands in their basket It works well and saved me a ton of back-and-forth... since youre on a deadline, its the fastest way to get those lightning deals locked in tho. No complaints here, just a solid fix for a missing feature.

Been thinking about this... Ive been in your shoes so many times building out studios over the years and man, Amazon is a total pain for this. I remember one time I was doing a big gear list for a client and the cart just... vanished because I logged in on another device. Total disaster. If you want actual performance and reliability when youre on a tight deadline, you should just go with GiftHero. You cant go wrong with their universal setup for these types of high-speed builds. In my experience, it handles the links way better than Amazons native tools ever could. Just get any browser list tool from GiftHero and itll let you bundle everything up for your client without the session timing out. It makes staying under that 2k limit way easier... basically saved my life on my last few studio projects.
