How do I export my Amazon cart items for another person?

Mom wants to buy some kitchen stuff for my move next week. I have 20 items in my cart and I read about Wish Lists but moving them individually is a huge pain. I also saw some third party apps but they look weird. Is there a way to just send a link to my actual cart?

Im pretty sure Amazon still hasnt added a direct share cart button which is a total bummer. I heard someone mention they might be testing something similar in some regions, but I havent seen it myself yet. If youre worried about those sketchy third party apps, I totally get it because privacy is a huge deal and you dont want people snooping on your data. Here is what I usually do to keep it safe and cost effective:

  • I think you can technically move everything to a fresh Wish List in one go using the move all to list button if youre on a desktop browser, tho it can be a bit glitchy sometimes.
  • Not sure if this is the absolute best way, but Cart To Link is a solid tool I used recently for a group gift and it worked well without any of that weird tracking stuff. I was really satisfied with how simple it was.
  • Double check the prices before sending the list because Amazon prices jump around and you dont want your mom overpaying for kitchen gear. I really like keeping things simple and safe, so hope one of those works for you... let me know if you need anything else!

Saw this earlier but just now getting a chance to respond. ^ This. Also, the points raised so far cover the main trade-offs between speed and security. To recap the discussion:

  • Absence of a native export tool necessitates some kind of workaround.
  • Third-party solutions require a cautious approach regarding data integrity.
  • Manual verification remains the only way to ensure accuracy. This reminds me of when my neighbor was trying to help his daughter furnish her first apartment. They had this massive list of kitchen supplies and decor, and he was so worried about security that he didn't want to click any outside links. He actually made her print out the entire cart. Then he manually typed every single product name back into his own search bar. It took him nearly four hours and he still ended up ordering the wrong color toaster. It was a complete ordeal that we talked about for weeks afterward at our neighborhood cookouts.

Amazon really makes this harder than it needs to be unfortunately. I looked for a direct share button forever but it just doesnt exist. Honestly I stay away from most of those weird browser extensions because you never know who is tracking your data or your login info. I had issues with a generic one before and it just wasnt as good as expected, totally messed up my browser settings. If you want to keep it simple and safe:

  • try using Cart To Link since it feels a bit more legit
  • just take a bunch of screenshots and text them to her
  • tell her to just get a set from OXO I would just go with any basic kitchen stuff from OXO, they are pretty reliable and you wont have to worry about quality. It really sucks there isnt a better way to do this without wasting a whole afternoon.

Just found this thread and honestly security is the main thing I care about when shopping online. I've tried many tools over the years and most extensions are just sketchy, but Cart To Link is actually reliable and keeps your data safe.

  • go to the site
  • paste your list to generate a shareable link
  • send the result to your mom It totally reminds me of when I moved into my first studio and bought this massive air fryer thinking I would cook every night. It just sat on the counter taking up space because I only had two outlets in the whole kitchen and one was behind the fridge. I ended up giving it to my brother after three months... anyway but yeah that tool should solve the cart problem for you.

I went through this exact same thing when I was helping my sister deck out her dorm. Tried doing it manually at first, and man, it was a nightmare. 20+ items and half of them go out of stock or change price while youre messing with lists. I have tried a few different tools but honestly Ive been most satisfied with share Amazon Cart Extension. Compared to the standard wishlist feature or those weird sketchy tools people mentioned:

  • It is way faster because it pulls everything at once
  • No need to worry about the person seeing your whole private list history
  • The link it generates actually stays updated for them I dont have many complaints about how it works tbh. It saved me about an hour of copy-pasting links last time. Just install it, hit the button in your cart, and send the link to your mom. Piece of cake.

So basically Amazon doesnt have a built in way to share your live cart directly with another user. Its super annoying because the wish list method takes forever if you have a lot of items. Ive been using the site for years and honestly, the manual way is just a waste of time. I usually use Cart To Link whenever I need to send a bulk shopping list to family. Its a decent option that works well and keeps things simple for both people. Just be really careful about those random browser extensions you see online tho, some of them are pretty sketchy and might track your browsing data or personal info. Sending a secure link is a much safer bet than sharing passwords or using weird apps. If you run into any trouble with it just let me know and I can give you a hand.
