Honestly I am so fed up with how difficult it is to do something so simple like sharing a shopping cart on Amazon. Like its 2024 why is this still a thing? My husband and I are trying to finish up our nursery before the baby gets here in literally three weeks and I have about 25 items sitting in my cart right now. We have a budget of $500 left for the random stuff like the humidifier, some specific curtains, and a bunch of safety gear and I just need him to look at it and hit buy since he has the business card linked to his specific login.
So I was thinking okay easy enough Ill just send him the link to the cart page and my logic was that he would see what I see but obviously that didnt work because it just opened his own empty cart. Then I thought maybe I could use the Amazon Household thing because we are linked on there for Prime but even then our carts are totally separate and there is no button to just push my items to his account. Its so frustrating because I dont want to sit there and read off every single item or send him 25 individual links over text message which would just be a nightmare for both of us. Here is what I have tried so far:
The wishlist thing is also a pain because some of the stuff has specific coupons or options selected that dont always carry over right and then he has to move every single thing from the list into his cart one by one anyway. Its just extra steps for no reason and I am just so tired and I just want this done and off my plate.
Is there some kind of extension or a hidden setting I am missing? I even thought about just giving him my password but then the two factor authentication goes to my phone while he is at work and it becomes this whole back and forth ordeal. There has to be a better way to just collaborate on a single order without all this manual clicking... maybe a third party tool or something I havent found yet?
> Is there some kind of extension or a hidden setting I am missing? I've used Share-A-Cart for my household and I'm very satisfied. It works well and is quite safe. You should just get any extension from them tho.
To add to the point above: those extensions are actually life savers! I love how they just work without any extra cost. Definitely check out an Amazon cart sharer because it makes the whole process so much faster than lists. One thing tho, are you guys planning on doing this just this once or do you need a recurring way to share stuff? Also, do you strictly need it to handle the coupons automatically?
Just saw this and omg, I totally feel your pain! I had the same issue during our home reno and it was literally driving me crazy...
