How can I share my Amazon shopping cart with a friend?

Ive been using Amazon since like the late 2000s and usually Im the one helping my friends with tech stuff but Im actually stumped right now. Im helping my buddy out with some DIY shelving and decor for his new nursery since the baby is due in like three weeks and weve got a $400 budget for all the hardware and lighting. Ive spent the last two hours meticulously picking out specific black matte mounting brackets, smart bulbs, and some cable management stuff. I have about 22 items in my cart ready to go but I need him to look it over before I pull the trigger because its his house and his money. I tried just making a public list but half the items are out of stock or see all buying options when he views the link and its making it impossible to coordinate quantities. Is there like a hidden collab feature or a browser extension that actually works for this? I remember seeing a share button somewhere years ago but maybe they removed it or Im just blind. I really dont want to screenshot 22 individual items and text them over one by one because thats just insane. How do you guys handle sharing a full cart when its not just a gift list?

Totally agree with that last post, using a dedicated extension is honestly the best move! It is so amazing for big projects like a nursery. I think I heard about Share-A-Cart being the go-to for this, though I am not 100 percent sure if it is totally foolproof with the login security so definitely be cautious.

  • IIRC it just copies the cart IDs.
  • Should keep all your quantities exactly how you set them! Not sure if it fixes the out-of-stock mess tho... fingers crossed!

Never share your password just to show a cart. Thats a major risk. Using a dedicated tool is far more reliable for managing a $400 budget safely. Its honestly amazing how much time this saves! There's a neat extension called Cart To Link that basically turns your cart into a link.
