So I am in a total mess right now because I have about fifteen items sitting in my Amazon cart for this big wedding gift basket we are putting together for my cousin and the wedding is literally in twelve days. My sister is the one who actually has the Prime account and the credit card ready to go so I need to get these specific items over to her like right now. I spent hours yesterday finding the exact right blender and the specific towels she wanted and I am terrified if I try to make a separate Wish List I am going to click the wrong color or get the wrong model number and mess everything up. Also some of these things are on sale and I dont want the price to go back up while I am messing around with list settings. My coworker mentioned something about using a browser extension to just share the cart directly? I think that is what he called it. I honestly dont even know what a browser extension is... is it like a program you buy? Or is it part of Google? I am using Chrome on my old laptop and I am so scared of clicking the wrong thing and getting a virus or something. I just need a way to literally send her my cart so she can see everything I picked and just hit buy. I tried looking in the Amazon settings but I couldnt find a share button anywhere for the cart itself which seems crazy to me. Is there actually a tool or a chrome thingy that does this for you? If there is can someone please explain it to me like I am five years old because I am seriously struggling here. Do I have to pay for it? And once I get it how does it even work on her end? I am really freaking out because I told her I would have this done by lunch today and it is already 1:00 PM and she lives all the way in Seattle so I cant just go over there and show her. I'm sorry if this is a really dumb question I just have no idea where to start or what to download. How do I share my Amazon cart with an extension thing?

I am a bit late here but I have been doing this for years for big group gifts and honestly... you gotta be real careful. One time I used a random cart tool that ended up being total malware and it was a nightmare to fix. Only ever download from the official Chrome Web Store. If you use something like Share-A-Cart, which is the one I trust most, keep these things in mind:

  • Permissions: Be careful if it asks for too much access. If it wants your bank details, just dont do it.
  • Syncing: Your sister usually needs to have the same extension installed to actually open the cart link.
  • Verification: Sometimes color or size settings can reset during the import if the seller updated their page. Make her double-check everything before she hits buy. It is way easier than dealing with a return for a blender in the wrong color.

Totally agree with the tool mentioned above!! They are absolute gold for big group gifts and they wont cost you a dime. My big tip is to double check the quantities once she clicks... sometimes things get weird if she already had stuff in her cart. It is seriously so amazing not having to search for everything again! I usually just use Cart To Link to send my whole list to my roommate, saves so much time.

A browser extension is just a free tool you add to Chrome. To get this done fast, I suggest using the share Amazon Cart Extension since it is straightforward and reliable.

  • Install it from the Chrome Web Store
  • Click the icon when viewing your cart
  • Copy the link and send it It is definitely the most efficient way to avoid ordering the wrong stuff and you wont have to rebuild the entire list.
