Omg im so stoked because im finally setting up my dream home theater setup in my basement before my brothers big birthday bash next Friday!! Ive been scouring deals for weeks and now I have a huge problem. I somehow managed to build two massive carts on two different accounts... one is on my personal Prime and the other is on an old account that still has like 250 bucks in gift card balance from my birthday. My budget is strictly $1200 for everything including the 4k projector and the mount and I really need to stay under that. Right now im torn between two ways to fix this mess. I could try that Amazon Household thing to link them up but im not sure if that actually merges the carts or if it just lets us share the shipping perks?? Or I could make a public wishlist on the secondary account and then just add everything to the main cart but im super worried that some of the limited time deals or coupons I clipped wont carry over and I'll end up paying way more. I really want to just press one button and buy it all together so it all arrives in one big shipment on Monday. Is there a legit way to just smash these two carts together without manually searching every single item again or do I just have to do it the hard way...
Unfortunately, Amazon makes this way harder than it should be. I tried the Household thing once and it was a total bust for merging carts... it basically just shares Prime shipping perks. Not 100% sure but I think there are two main options:
Like someone mentioned, wishlists are a total trap for coupons. In my experience, you're better off using the share Amazon Cart Extension to bridge the gap between accounts quickly. If those clipped coupons are substantial, just do two separate checkouts. It might not be one big box, but saving cash to stay under that 1200 limit is what actually matters tho.
Saw this today and honestly you gotta be careful because clipped coupons definitely wont transfer via a wishlist. Are the deals you mentioned lightning deals or just regular sale prices? Using a public wishlist is faster but super risky for those limited discounts. Alternatively, just buying the projector on the gift card account is way safer for your budget. It keeps your savings intact even if the shipping arrives separately.
