What are the must-have accessories for the Panasonic Lumix GH6?

Just picked up the GH6 and I'm so hyped to start shooting but the accessory rabbit hole is deep. I've been doing some digging and everyone says a CFexpress Type B card is a must for the ProRes stuff, but then I see people online saying V90 SD cards are fine for most things?

It's confusing because my logic was to grab a solid cage and maybe a top handle first for my documentary project in Seattle next week. My budget is pretty tight though, maybe $400 tops for now. Should I prioritize the fast media or should I look into a dummy battery setup since people say the internal ones drain fast? Just trying to figure out the bare essentials...

I totally love my GH6, but those bitrates are hungry! I once tried a slow SD card and it crashed mid-shot... total nightmare. For your documentary, you gotta prioritize speed:

Tbh, if you're hitting Seattle next week, you gotta prioritize media. Without it, the GH6 is just a paperweight for high-end codecs. I've been testing cards for years and while V90 works for some 10-bit stuff, CFexpress is non-negotiable for ProRes. I'd look at the Angelbird AV PRO CFexpress Type B SE 512GB since it gives you massive capacity for the price. If you want pure speed, the Lexar Professional CFexpress Type B Card Diamond Series 128GB is a beast, though it fills up fast. Skip the fancy rig for now and just grab a Tilta Full Camera Cage for Panasonic GH6 Black. You can survive on internal batteries for a bit, but failing media ruins a shoot faster than a dead battery. The V90 cards like the SanDisk Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-II V90 128GB are okay backups but they often choke on those higher bitrates during long takes.
