Recommended gimbal stabilizers for the Panasonic S5 II series?

I just picked up a Panasonic S5 II for a wedding I'm shooting this Saturday in Brooklyn and I'm freaking out a bit because I don't have a gimbal yet. I've been looking at the DJI RS3 Pro because everyone says it's the gold standard but then I saw the Zhiyun Crane 4 might be better for the weight and price. I'm really confused because some reviewers say the S5 II is a bit chunky with that active cooling fan and it might rub against the motors on smaller gimbals. I'm on a tight $500 budget after buying the lens and I really need something that wont fail me mid-ceremony. I'm planning to use:

  • 20-60mm kit lens
  • 50mm prime

Which specific gimbal actually fits the S5 II body without blocking the ports or hitting the arms? I'm running out of time to order...

The DJI RS 3 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer is your best bet under $500. It handles the S5 II fan hump without hitting the roll axis, even with that 20-60mm lens.

  • auto-axis locks make wedding transitions way faster
  • 3kg payload is more than enough
  • software is basically rock solid The Zhiyun Weebill 3S Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer also fits that body profile well and wont struggle with the weight.

> I'm on a tight $500 budget Unfortunately, $500 is risky for new gear. Check MPB for a used DJI RSC 2 Gimbal Stabilizer. Ive had cheap units fail mid-ceremony and its honestly not worth the risk.

Spot on about that clearance. In my experience, those extra millimeters for the fan vent make all the difference during a long wedding day. Had a motor start screaming mid-vows once because it was rubbing just slightly against the side... honestly a total nightmare. Just make sure you account for the screen being flipped out when you balance everything or the motors will struggle.
