Honestly Im so fed up with the strap I got for my M11 last month. It was some cheap thing from Amazon and the leather is already flaking and actually scratching the lugs on my silver finish which makes me want to scream. My logic was that a strap is just a strap but now I realize I was dead wrong lol.
I was thinking about Arte di Mano but the wait times are insane and Im leaving for my trip to Kyoto in literally six days so I need something that ships fast in the US. I need real leather that doesnt feel like plastic and wont ruin the camera. Budget is around 150 bucks. Any brands that actually look good and protect the finish??

^ This. Also, honestly you dont strictly need those integrated lug protectors if you just buy a strap that uses high-quality o-rings and thick enough leather at the ends. Ive been very satisfied with the Tap and Dye Legacy Leather Camera Strap for years now and have no complaints about scratches on my silver chrome bodies. They ship from New York so you should get it before your Kyoto trip if you order today. The leather is genuine Horween and feels nothing like that plastic-y stuff. It softens up really nicely with use but stays super durable. If youre worried about the finish, just make sure the strap has a proper leather disc or flap. This one works well and looks way more low-key than some of the over-engineered options. No nonsense, just good leather that wont flake on you.

> scratching the lugs Ngl those cheap straps are a total trap. I would suggest making sure your next one has built-in lug protectors or youre gonna keep seeing those scratches.
