Sorry if this is dumb but I'm so frustrated. I thought a 28mm lens would just work on my old Leica but I cant see the edges. I looked for those glass boxes for the top but the prices are crazy and I dont get the numbers. I only have 90 bucks left for my trip...

@Reply #1 - good point! The TTArtisan is a solid budget choice but you might want to consider the parallax error issues on those cheaper units when you are shooting subjects closer than two meters. I would suggest keeping an eye out for a used Ricoh GV-2 28mm External Viewfinder. It was technically designed for digital cameras but it fits a vintage Leica cold shoe perfectly and the glass is surprisingly bright for the price point. Make sure to check the Cameraquest website for their technical comparison charts on magnification and eye relief specs. Its a goldmine for this stuff. Quick tip tho... if you look at a vintage KMZ 28mm Orion-15 Viewfinder on eBay, just be careful about yellowing in the optics. Those old Soviet finders are built like tanks but the coatings can degrade and make everything look muddy. For ninety bucks, you gotta prioritize clear glass over fancy branding.

Unfortunately prices are just insane. Ive had issues with cheap finders being total junk, but TTArtisan 28mm Optical Viewfinder is okay and fits your ninety dollar budget. Youll make it work.
