Anyone waiting for DJI Inspire 4 drone ? And what features do you want ?

Spot on Zane, battery life is the main bottleneck for long production days. I'm actually really satisfied with the flight efficiency on the DJI Inspire 3 but reaching that 40-50 minute window on the next gen would be a game changer for technical surveying and long takes. If you want to save some money tho, my best tip is to actually use the maintenance modes on the DJI BS65 Intelligent Battery Station. Properly cycling your DJI TB65 Intelligent Flight Battery sets to 50% for storage saves the cells from degrading. Most pilots skip this and end up buying new sets way too early. Keep the firmware on the charging station updated too... it genuinely works well for managing the internal resistance across all cells.

Late to the party but this whole thread is 💯. Glad I found it.

Anthony is spot on about the battery life! Honestly, seeing people talk about efficiency is fantastic because that is where the real work happens. While everyone wants more flight time, I really hope DJI focuses on reliability and safety protocols for the Inspire 4. Compared to the Autel systems, the DJI flight stability is usually way ahead, but we still have to be so careful with these heavy lift rigs. Saw this thread earlier and just had to chime in! I want to add some warnings based on what I have seen in the field:

  • Never skip the manual compass calibration if you are near heavy metal structures.
  • Avoid flying till the battery is bone dry just to get the shot because that is how you lose a 15k rig.
  • Dont trust the auto-return to home blindly in complex environments. Safety first makes the whole experience amazing!

> Anyone waiting for DJI Inspire 4 drone ? And what features do you want ? Honestly its ridiculous how fast these upgrade cycles move. In my experience, you spend a fortune on a pro setup and six months later they're already dangling the next shiny thing in front of you... it feels like a total scam sometimes. Drives me crazy how we're basically forced into this loop because parts for older models just magically disappear. I've been flying since the early days and I honestly miss when you could actually fix your own gear without needing a degree in proprietary software. Everything is getting more expensive while the actual build quality feels like its going downhill. But before I get too deep into my grumpy old man rant, what are you actually planning to shoot with it? Like, are you doing heavy cinema stuff or just looking for a stable rig for local gigs? It makes a huge difference in whether the upgrade is even worth the headache.
