Does anyone know a browser extension that lets me share my Amazon cart with someone else without me having to give them my password? I'm honestly so fed up with how difficult it is to coordinate shopping with my roommate right now. We're trying to furnish our new apartment in Chicago on a really tight budget of like $800 total for the living room and it's been a total nightmare trying to sync up on what to buy.
Currently I'm having to take like fifteen screenshots or hop on a glitchy screen share just to show him what I've picked out because there's no way I'm handing over my login info with my credit card and prime history all right there. I tried some random extension last night but it just generated a dead link and wasted an hour of my time. It's so frustrating because it feels like such a basic thing to ask for but Amazon makes it so hard unless you're using a business account or something fancy.
I just need him to be able to see the items and maybe tweak the sizes or colors before I pull the trigger on the order next Tuesday. Is there anything reliable that actually works and isn't just a data-scraping scam? I really need to get this stuff ordered before our move date so we aren't sleeping on the floor...
I have tried many extensions over the years and most are basically useless, but Share-a-Cart is the one I actually trust. It lets you generate a code without any password disclosure so you dont have to worry about security. In my experience, it is very reliable for coordinating orders. It keeps your prime history private while letting your roommate see the items. Way better than screenshots... good luck with the move.
@Reply #2 - good point! Seriously though, be super careful with those random shopping assistant extensions that ask for weird permissions... total nightmare for your privacy. Ive been using Share-a-Cart for years and it is amazing for staying on budget!

I spent way too long debugging why my items wouldnt sync. I finally tried share Amazon Cart Extension after others were just a data-scraping mess. It is not as seamless as I'd hoped, but it handles the session data without leaking your login. Still annoying we even need this tbh.
