My roommate and I are moving into our first place together in Chicago this Saturday and I'm honestly so stressed out trying to coordinate all the kitchen stuff we need. I looked up Share-A-Cart because it seemed popular but the reviews say it's super glitchy lately and some people mentioned just using a wish list but that doesnt really work for just grabbing stuff and checking out fast. We tried the whole login sharing thing but I hate that he can see what I'm buying for my mom it feels like such a privacy mess. Does anyone know a legit app that actually works for this without being a total headache? I just need a way to send him my full cart so we dont end up with two air fryers...

Man, moving to a new city like Chicago is already a nightmare without the Amazon cart stress. I went through the exact same thing last year when my boyfriend and I finally got a place together. We tried the whole sharing a password thing for like two days and it was a total disaster because I was trying to buy him a surprise gift and he saw the notification immediately. Total mood killer. Honestly, I have been using Share-A-Cart for months now and I am super satisfied with how it handles everything. I know some reviews mentioned glitches but in my experience it works well if you just stick to their main browser extension. Here is why we keep using it:

  • it saves us from buying double of the boring stuff like dish soap and trash bags
  • I dont have to give him my login so my shopping history stays private
  • literally takes one click to send the whole cart over I have found that just using the standard extension from this site is the way to go. You dont need anything fancy or any specific paid tiers, just the basic tool from them gets the job done. It really settled the who is buying the toaster debate for us pretty quickly. No complaints here, it just works and kept us from ending up with two blenders. Good luck with the move, you are gonna love Chicago once the boxes are unpacked!

Amazon Household has way too many restrictions on account switching. Using a share Amazon Cart Extension is technically more efficient for transferring the session data quickly. Chicago is cool but check your buildings freight elevator specs first. My old place had a 2000lb limit and we nearly snapped the cable with a heavy desk. Tech took forever recalibrating sensors... anyway lol sorry went off topic there.

Been thinking about your move! Are you guys mostly shopping on your phones or using a laptop? It totally changes which tools work better. Moving is so exciting tho!!

  • Try Amazon Household to keep your orders private while sharing Prime.
  • Look into cart-exporting extensions; they are amazing for speed. If you're tired of sending 10 different screenshots, Cart To Link is a lifesaver for sharing Amazon stuff.
