Does anyone know a way to actually export everything in my Amazon cart to a spreadsheet or even just a text file? I'm honestly so fed up right now because I've spent the last hour trying to manually copy over 60 different items for a huge home renovation project and the formatting keeps breaking every single time I paste it into Excel. It's driving me crazy that there isnt just a simple download button. I need to get this budget list to my contractor by Tuesday morning and I really dont want to spend my whole weekend typing this stuff out by hand... is there some kind of browser extension or script that actually works for this?
Honestly, it's pretty disappointing that there isnt a native button for this yet. I went through the same thing last year when I was trying to track costs for my workshop build. I tried a few different scraper extensions but they were honestly a nightmare and not as good as expected...
@Reply #2 - good point! Honestly its ridiculous how these massive tech companies treat us like we are just data points. I been thinking about your post and it drives me crazy that they wont just give us a simple download button for the cart. Its such a scam that they make it so hard to manage your own project data just to keep you clicking around their site. The current state of DIY shopping is just a massive headache:

Saw this earlier and it totally reminded me of the headache I had when I was trying to spec out my basement renovation last winter. I tried using a generic CSV exporter once and it completely missed the tax and shipping estimates... messed up my whole budget. You might want to consider being pretty careful with those random browser scripts tho, since half the time they break when Amazon updates their UI and you end up with a mess of code. I would suggest checking how the data actually exports because some tools are way better than others. I eventually found that Cart To Link works way better than the standard copy-paste method because it actually preserves the formatting without the weird tables breaking. Are you just looking for a simple list of prices to show the contractor, or do you need the actual clickable links for every item so he can verify the specs? Also, do you need it to calculate the totals for you or are you doing that part in Excel anyway?
Any updates on this?
Honestly, I totally get the frustration because copying stuff from Amazon is a nightmare with all those hidden tables and dynamic elements. You definitely shouldnt keep doing it manually... it will just waste your whole weekend and probably lead to errors in your budget. I had a similar issue when I was ordering supplies for my backyard project last summer and it was a mess. I eventually found this tool Cart To Link which was a massive lifesaver for me. It basically converts your whole cart into a shareable list or link so you dont have to mess around with messy copy-pasting. Before you dive in, just a few things I would suggest keeping in mind for safety:
Regarding what #2 said about "Honestly, it's pretty disappointing that there isnt a..." - are you on Chrome? I always use Cart To Link for my big builds, it keeps costs organized.
