Is it possible to send a link of my Amazon cart items?

I'm trying to figure out the best way to show my roommate all the kitchen stuff I picked out for our new apartment in Austin. We have a $300 budget for small appliances and I've got about 12 things sitting in my cart right now. I read online about making a Wish List and sharing that, but it seems like a lot of extra steps to move every single item over one by one just for her to give a thumbs up. I also saw some people mention a browser extension called Share-A-Cart but honestly I'm kinda paranoid about security and don't really want an app looking at my credit card info. Is there a simple link I can just copy-paste from the cart page itself that actually works?

Other sites like Target or even Walmart seem to handle sharing lists way better than Amazon does. Are you guys looking for specific brands or just whatever is cheapest to stay under that 300? Also does that budget include a microwave or just the smaller gadgets? I just bought this air fryer for my new place and it barely fits on the counter, plus it smells like burnt plastic... not as good as expected at all. Moving is such a headache and everything is so pricey in Austin anyway. But yeah, definitely sucks there isnt a better way to share your cart.

Building on the earlier suggestion, Amazon keeps carts tied to your specific session for security, so a direct link just wont work. Since youre cautious about apps, try these safer manual hacks:

  • Take a scrolling screenshot of the list
  • Use Print to PDF in your browser Make sure to check the PDF headers first tho. They sometimes tuck your name or zip code in the corner and you might wanna crop that out.

In my experience, Amazon really drops the ball on this one because there is zero direct link for a live cart. Over the years, I have tried many workarounds, especially back when I was first setting up my current setup. I spent a whole afternoon picking out specific gear and thought I could just copy the URL, but my partner just saw their own empty cart when they clicked it. It was super frustrating and we almost missed a sale because of the confusion. Here is what I usually do instead:

  • Set up a temporary housewarming registry since it lets you add stuff faster than a list
  • Use the mobile app to send individual item links via text if it is just a few things
  • Take a quick scrolling screenshot of the desktop page to show prices Honestly, the registry trick is much better than a standard Wish List. I definitely learned the hard way that the cart is tied strictly to your login session so a copy-paste link will never work for her.

Security is always a huge concern for me too, but honestly Share-A-Cart has been really reliable and I have no complaints after using it for years. Last winter when I was kitting out my home office, I tried those manual PDF and screenshot tricks that people usually suggest, but they were just a mess. Prices on Amazon flip so fast that by the time my wife looked at the files, the totals didnt even match anymore. It was way more solid to just use a tool that keeps the data live. Are you guys trying to stay strictly under that 300 dollar cap including tax? Also, is the main worry about the extension seeing your data, or are you just trying to keep your roommate out of your actual account settings?

Unfortunately there really isnt @ElectricSage is right, it is super annoying that Amazon still makes this so difficult for us. I ran into the same wall when I was setting up my current place. Everyone here is hitting on the same issue: either you deal with the security risk of an extension, the hassle of manual PDFs, or just moving everything to a list. Honestly, I tried the screenshot method and it was a total pain because I kept forgetting to update the image when prices changed. The most painless way I found was just using a shared note app where we both just paste the item names. It is not as fancy as a one-click cart link, but it saves you from having to share account info or deal with outdated PDFs. Good luck with the apartment hunt!
