I am seriously losing my mind trying to coordinate this move. Me and two of my buddies are moving into a place in Chicago in like three weeks and we have literally nothing for the common areas. No couch, no air fryer, not even a decent set of forks. Weve been trying to use a massive Discord thread to share Amazon links but its a total disaster. Every time I find a coffee table I like, someone else posts a rug five minutes later and my link gets buried in the chat and then we spend twenty minutes trying to find it again. It is honestly so exhausting.
I did a bit of digging to see if there was a better way and I saw that Amazon has this Invite to List thing where you can let people edit. I tried setting it up but it feels so clunky? Like, I cant really see who likes what and it doesnt notify me when someone adds something new unless I go in and manually check. Then I read about stuff like Honey or those browser extensions but most of those seem like they are just for finding coupon codes or price tracking which is cool I guess but it doesnt help me actually decide on a lamp with two other people who have very different tastes. I also saw something about Share-a-Cart but that looks like it just dumps everything into one person's checkout which isnt great for the choosing phase of the project.
We are on a pretty tight budget since we just dropped a ton on the security deposit so I really dont want to pay for some premium subscription service just to shop for a few weeks.
