Im trying to snag a new Dell XPS 15 before the fall semester starts but my budget is strictly under $1200 which is tough for the specs I want. Dell prices are all over the place and jump around like crazy every few days so I need a solid way to track them without checking manually every hour.
Ive been looking at using Honey for the price alerts but I heard CamelCamelCamel is better even though it seems more focused on Amazon stuff and Dell has their own site deals usually. Then there is the Slickdeals alert thing but that feels kinda hit or miss depending on if someone actually posts it. Which of these tools is actually the most reliable for Dell specific coupons and price drops or should I just stick to manual refreshes...
I've been chasing Dell deals for over a decade now, and tracking their site is basically a full-time job if you don't have a system. Last year I was hunting for an XPS and totally missed a $400 drop because I relied on Honey alerts that didn't fire off until the stock was gone. CamelCamelCamel is great for Amazon but it won't help you with the actual Dell store where the best coupons live. In my experience, you gotta be more proactive:
