so sorry if this is a really basic question but I am completely lost here. I need to buy a new Dell laptop for my nursing program that starts in like ten days and my budget is super tight

  • I only have about 800 bucks and the one my teacher recommended is way more than that. I saw that little box at the checkout that says enter coupon code and I just sat there staring at it because I have no idea where people even get those. my friend mentioned these things called browser extensions that just scan the site for you but I dont even know how to install them or which one is the best one for Dell specifically.

I was looking at a few different ones:

  • Honey
  • Rakuten
  • Capital One Shopping
  • RetailMeNot

I am just overwhelmed and anxious that I'm gonna pick the wrong one and miss out on a deal. my logic was that maybe I should just download all of them? but then I worried they might crash my computer or something since I'm not really a tech person. has anyone actually used these on the Dell store lately? I really need to save at least 100 or 150 dollars to make this work or I might have to buy a used one which scares me...

I've tried many of these over the years and honestly, I have a bit of a routine now. In my experience, Dell is one of those sites where some extensions just work better than others. Last summer when I was helping my cousin get a laptop, Capital One Shopping actually pulled through with a weird code that saved him nearly ninety bucks. Here are a few things I have learned:

  • Running too many at once can glitch the checkout button so just pick two... it gets messy.
  • Capital One Shopping usually has the best exclusive Dell offers that you wont find elsewhere.
  • Rakuten is the king of cash back, even if the coupons fail. Definitely dont be scared of the Dell Outlet either, you can find like new machines for way under your budget. Totally worth grabbing PriceDropCatch if youre planning a big home office upgrade soon.
