Does anyone have a reliable tool for tracking Walmart price history because I'm convinced these Rollbacks are fake half the time. I've been a power user of Keepa and CamelCamelCamel for my Amazon hauls for years so I'm not a total newbie when it comes to price scrapers, but Walmart's backend seems way more annoying to track.
I am trying to pick up a 75-inch Sony Bravia for my new place in Chicago—I'm literally moving in next Friday and need the TV delivered by then—and the listing says it's on sale for $898 down from $1199. Thing is, I could've sworn I saw it for $850 back in late July. Honey isn't giving me the data I need and most of the tracker sites I find on Google just show the current price as the historical low which is just flat out wrong. Is there something like a browser extension or a specific site that actually archives their pricing data accurately? I'm ready to buy tonight but I don't want to waste $50 or $100 on a fake discount if the price is gonna drop again in two days. Just need to see the actual trend line for the last 90 days or so...
Building on the earlier suggestion, honestly its just ridiculous how these big retailers treat us nowadays. I've been doing this for over a decade and it feels like the Rollback is basically a total scam 90% of the time. They jack the price up for a week just to discount it back to the normal price. Its so predatory. In my experience, dealing with their site is a total nightmare because:
Walmarts backend is a total mess because they rotate SKUs way more than Amazon. Ive tried many tools over the years and BrickSeek is usually the best technical way to see price gaps, tho its mostly for inventory. Are you stuck on that specific Bravia model or just looking for any decent 75-inch under a grand? Also, is that Friday delivery date super firm?
Walmart is tricky. I usually check:
