im honestly so done with the internal audio on my a7iv it just sounds like garbage. i was thinking about the sony ecm-b10 since it fits the shoe but i dont know if the digital signal is worth the price? i got a wedding gig in two weeks and need something reliable under 250. what actually works well...
Building on the earlier suggestion, make sure to consider clipping. I would suggest the Rode Wireless ME Compact Wireless Microphone System since its GainAssist technology basically manages levels so you dont ruin the audio.
Unfortunately the ECM-B10 sounds pretty processed to me and i dont love it.
My buddy told me the exact same thing last week. Guess he was right lol.
Just saw this. Weddings are a different beast and I learned that the hard way. I once had a setup fail during a ceremony because I didnt test the interference at the venue beforehand, and it was a total nightmare trying to salvage the audio. Reliability is the only thing that matters when youre on a budget. Before you drop cash on anything, I have to ask:
Wow ok that changes things. Gonna have to rethink my approach now.
