Ugh I've been staring at spec sheets for three days and I'm just more confused than when I started. I really need a fast prime for my X-T4 before my trip to Chicago next month but I cant decide which Sigma to grab. Im basically choosing between the 23mm f1.4 and the 30mm f1.4 right now. The 30mm is way cheaper and fits my $500 budget easily but I keep seeing people say it's an awkward focal length for street photography. Then there's the 23mm which everyone says is amazing but its right at the limit of what I can spend. I just want something that wont hunt for focus when I'm trying to catch people walking by... which one is actually the better deal for street stuff?

Definitely grab the Sigma 23mm f1.4 DC DN Contemporary! The 35mm FOV is amazing for street photography.

Caught this earlier but just now responding. Be careful with these lenses as they can feel a bit front-heavy on the X-T4 tho. I actually started with the Sigma 16mm f1.4 DC DN Contemporary for architecture but the FOV was too wide for street. Quick tip: make sure to update your Fuji firmware to 1.70+. It really helps those Sigma stepping motors lock focus faster and prevents hunting in low light.
