So I just got this Sony camera for my trip to Iceland next month and honestly I am so stressed out about picking a tripod. I keep seeing people talk about E-mount lenses and stuff so I guess I need a tripod that fits that specifically?? Sorry if thats a dumb question I just dont want to buy something and have my camera fall off a cliff because it didnt click in right. My logic was that if the camera is a Sony E-mount then the stand should be too but then I saw some on Amazon that just say universal and now I'm completely lost.
I have about $150 to spend maybe a little more if it means the camera is super secure but I also need it to be light because we are doing a lot of hiking. I keep looking at the Peak Design one but its so expensive and then there are these ones like Manfrotto or Benro and I dont know the difference at all. Is there like a specific plate thingy I need for Sony?? I'm worried about the wind in Iceland knocking the whole thing over too. If anyone has a Sony and can tell me what they use for traveling that isnt too heavy and actually fits please help... I'm so confused by all the different legs and twisty things. Do I need a specific brand to make sure it doesnt wobble...
I agree with your concern about the wind. Unfortunately, most lightweight tripods are not as good as expected in Iceland, and I had issues with my camera shaking like crazy there.
