Must-have street photography accessories for the compact Fuji X-E4?

So I finally pulled the trigger on a silver X-E4 and honestly its even smaller than I thought it would be. Like almost too small? I'm taking it to Tokyo in about three weeks for a ten day trip and I really want to get it rigged up for heavy street use. My budget for accessories is about 200 bucks since the lens alone basically broke the bank.

I spent all night looking at stuff and I keep seeing the official Fuji thumb grip but then people say the Haoge or the Meike ones are better because they have a little bit of a different angle. But if I use a thumb grip it takes up the hot shoe and I kinda wanted to use a small flash like the EF-X20 if I can find one used. Does anyone actually use the hand grip baseplates? I saw some guy on YouTube saying they make the camera too bulky but then others say the X-E4 is impossible to hold without one because there is zero grip on the front.

What are the absolute essentials you guys use for this specific body? Like what strap are you using that doesnt get in the way of the tiny dials and do those soft shutter buttons actually stay on or do they just fall off in your bag after five minutes?

  • thumb grip vs hand grip
  • wrist strap recommendations
  • screen protector brands that dont suck

Just trying to get this sorted before my flight...

Look, the X-E4 is basically a bar of soap. Since you want to use a flash, skip the thumb grip and grab a baseplate instead. It adds enough meat to hold onto without ruining the size.
