Looked at the GPC case and it seems solid but man its huge. Im worried it wont fit in my overhead bin for my Iceland trip next month. Then I saw the Nanuk 915 but some people say the foam cutout for the Mavic 3 is too tight and might crush the gimbal? I have like $150 to spend and just want something that wont break the bank but also wont let my drone get smashed if it falls off my pack while hiking. Everything on Amazon has 5 stars then 1 star reviews saying its junk so I dont even know what to believe at this point. Is there a case that actually fits the fly more kit without being a literal suitcase?

Ive tested a few cases and honestly the GPC is just overkill for travel. Check these out:

In my experience, lugging a massive case through airports is a nightmare. I switched to the PGYTECH Safety Carrying Case for DJI Mavic 3 for a trek last year and it was a lifesaver. Kinda feels like it should be more expensive for the quality...

@Reply #3 - good point! Latches definitely matter when you're out in the elements, but you dont always have to shell out for HPRC to get that peace of mind. I've been super happy using the Deyard Waterproof Hard Case for DJI Mavic 3 lately. Honestly, the build quality is surprisingly solid for the price and it easily handles the Fly More kit without being a tank. It has an IP67 rating and the manual pressure valve actually works, which is a big deal when you're flying to Iceland because of the cabin pressure changes... nobody wants a vacuum-sealed case that wont open. The foam is high-density EVA so it doesn't flake off into the motors like some cheap generic stuff. Plus it’s way under your $150 budget, which leaves you more cash for extra batteries or a SanDisk 128GB Extreme microSDXC V30. No complaints on my end after several hiking trips, it feels like it can take a serious drop. Just make sure you line up the props properly before you close it and you’re golden.

> I have like $150 to spend. Been thinking about this... I once saw a cheap latch fail on a hike. Go with any HPRC Protective Cases. Be careful with clones; I would suggest prioritizing the seal.
