I've been eagerly awaiting the release of the DJI Mini 5 Pro, and I was wondering if anyone has any insider knowledge or educated guesses about the price range for this upcoming drone. DJI's Mini series has always been a great balance between affordability and performance, but with the rumored upgrades in the Mini 5 Pro, I'm curious to know how it might affect the pricing.
Has anyone come across any leaks, rumors, or official statements regarding the expected price of the DJI Mini 5 Pro? I'm trying to plan my budget accordingly and would appreciate any information you might have.
Re: "If it has a 1 inch sensor, the..." - unfortunately, that hardware change would probably push the price toward the $900 mark. Summarizing the discussion so far, we are looking at either a $700 refresh or a much higher cost for a larger sensor. Honestly, these price hikes are getting a bit annoying. I've had issues with early launch units before, so I prefer focusing on reliability and what actually works for a reasonable budget. If you want to be practical with your money, these are better options imo:
I think it will have same price range as Mini 4 Pro.
Been thinking about these price rumors for a few hours and honestly, the direction things are headed is pretty disappointing. Having been in this hobby for a long time, I have seen the cycle repeat where we pay a premium just to deal with early-launch bugs. Unfortunately, i have had issues with several recent units where the hardware just wasnt as good as expected until three firmware updates later. It is a frustrating experience for the price point they are targeting. Comparing them to what some other manufacturers are doing lately, it feels like the value proposition is shifting. Other brands are offering more stable releases even if they lack some of the flashy marketing. My advice is to be cautious about pre-ordering based on hype. The biggest mistake people make is assuming a higher price tag equals a flawless experience. In my journey, I have learned that waiting is usually the better move... let the early adopters find the hardware flaws so you dont have to.
Around $700 for launch price.
If it has a 1 inch sensor, the price could be a bit higher than currently Mini 4 Pro.
