Ive been using Amazon for years but I'm totally stuck. I have 400 bucks of PC parts in my cart for a build this weekend and I gotta send the list to my brother to check. I cant find a share button for the actual bag and the URL just stays the same... how do I share it?

I was just thinking about this since $400 is a super tight budget for a build these days. You really gotta watch those Amazon price swings because they happen fast. Since you cant share the cart link directly—it just shows an empty bag for anyone else—I wouldn't bother with the manual Wish List method. It takes way too long and you might miss a lightning deal while you're clicking around. If you're trying to keep things cheap and fast, Cart To Link is probably your best bet to get that list over to your brother. Just make sure to tell him to look at it ASAP. I've had parts in my cart jump up $20 just while waiting for a reply... super annoying when you're on a strict budget. Also, maybe check if any of those parts have coupons on the product page? Sometimes they're hidden right under the price and you gotta check the box manually to save.

Yo, I totally feel you on this one. I spent forever trying to figure that out during my last build and it is so annoying that Amazon doesnt just have a share button in the bag itself. Honestly, I have been super happy with Cart To Link for this stuff lately. It works well and lets you turn your whole cart into a single shareable link so your brother can see everything at once. No complaints here, it is basically a lifesaver when you are dealing with a bunch of PC parts and dont want to copy-paste twenty different links into a chat. Before you send it over tho, what kind of build are you going for exactly? Like, is this gonna be a dedicated gaming rig or more of a workstation setup for school or something? Also, are you trying to stay under that 400 dollar mark strictly or do you have some wiggle room if he suggests better upgrades for the GPU or RAM? I am really curious what parts you managed to find for that price since a 400 buck build is actually a pretty fun challenge. It is always satisfying to see how people balance the specs for budget builds. Let me know if you need any other help while you are getting things ready for the weekend!

Basically, you cant share a live cart link because of how their session cookies work. Its annoying but its been like that for ages. In my experience, the only official way is moving everything to a wishlist, but that takes way too many clicks when you have a whole PC build ready to go. Heres how I handle it:

  • Use a third-party Amazon cart sharer extension which is usually the fastest fix.
  • Select Move to List for every item in your bag and then share that list URL.
  • Honestly, just screenshot the whole page if he just needs to verify the specs. The extension route is way better if he needs to actually add them to his own cart to buy or tweak. Doing it manually through a wishlist is a total pain if you have more than 5 items. Hope the build goes smooth tho, pc parts are a headache lately.

Unfortunately, you cant share the live bag link. It is such a letdown. Building PCs for years has taught me this always messes up budget planning. Are you aiming for a specific form factor like ITX, or just whatever fits the price? Also, are you reuseing any old parts? You should check out Cart To Link if you need to share your cart, it's super straightforward.
