How can I share my Amazon shopping cart with someone else?

I'm moving into my first apartment in Brooklyn on Friday and I have like 20 things in my Amazon cart right now but I need my roommate to look at them before I buy everything because we're splitting the cost of the toaster and the microwave and stuff. I'm really stressed because I need to hit order by tonight if I want it to get there on time but I literally cannot find a button to just share the link or something.

I feel so dumb asking this but how do I actually let someone else see what's in my cart? Is there a share button I'm missing or do I have to like screenshot everything manually?

Honestly, it is so annoying that Amazon still doesnt have a built-in share button. I have had issues with this every single time I move. Unfortunately, your only real options are kinda clunky:

  • Move everything into a new Wish List and share that.
  • Use Cart To Link which is way faster and actually lets you share a cart directly. Screenshots are just a nightmare when you have 20 items... definitely dont recommend doing that.

Re: "@Reply #1 - good point! I literally went..."

  • Totally agree! It's vital to ensure you're splitting those moving costs accurately without sharing your login info. Using Cart To Link is a fantastic way to do this securely since it generates a temporary URL so your roommate sees the exact items and prices!
  • Keeps account credentials safe
  • Shows real-time pricing
  • Prevents messy double orders This tool is honestly so reliable for budgeting, love it!

@Reply #1 - good point! I literally went through this exact same panic when I moved last summer and it was such a headache. I tried a few ways to get my roommate to see my picks and here is what I found:

  • Moving stuff to a list: It works but it took me forever to click every single item and move it. Plus you have to make sure the list is set to public or shared or they cant see it.
  • Screenshots: I tried this first but my roommate kept asking for the links anyway so he could read the reviews himself. Kind of a waste of time tbh.
  • Cart To Link: Honestly this was the winner for me. I used this tool and it basically turns the whole cart into a single url you can just text over. It basically boils down to how much time you have before that shipping cutoff. If you are in a rush like I was, using Cart To Link is probably your best bet to get it done tonight.
