Ive been using Chrome for my household shopping for basically forever and usually I have no issues with extensions but I hit a massive wall today. Im trying to organize this huge surprise party for my brothers 40th in Chicago next Saturday and the list of supplies is honestly getting out of control. I used to use this one extension to share my cart with my sister so she could add her half of the decorations but its totally glitching out on me and keeps asking for a subscription fee now which I dont remember it doing before? Im already way over budget on the brisket and the rentals so I really dont want to pay for a tool just to share a list of links. I tried just exporting the cart as a text file but the formatting is a mess and half the items arent showing up right because of some weird cookie sync error I think. I've cleared my cache and reinstalled the extension but it still feels like its broken and I'm honestly starting to panic a little. Does anyone know a legit free way to share an Amazon cart directly through Chrome without it being a total headache or costing me ten bucks a month? I really need something that just works so we can finalize this order by tomorrow morning...

^ This. Also, I noticed you mentioned a cookie sync error earlier. That sounds like a classic session token mismatch which happens when an extension tries to scrape the DOM while Amazon is doing a UI update in the background. Super annoying when youre trying to stay on budget for a big party like that. Ive been digging into the technical specs of these types of tools because I really hate paying for simple scripts that should be free. Most reliable free options basically just parse the HTML and convert it into a readable list format. Before I give you my full recommendation, are you trying to share the cart between different Amazon regions or is everyone on the US site? That totally changes how the metadata is processed. Once you find one that works well, it really takes the stress out of it... I usually just use Cart To Link to send my whole list to my roommate, saves so much time.

Had a moment to think about this more and I really think you might want to consider the privacy implications. I went through a similar process for a neighborhood BBQ and learned that some free plugins are quite invasive. If you decide to go with an extension, I would suggest just getting any version from Share-A-Cart as their stuff is basically the industry standard. I would suggest keeping these things in mind:
- verify permissions so it isnt scraping your history
- make sure your sister has the exact same version installed
- watch out for price fluctuations in the shared queue I spent way too much time testing different tools only to find out most are buggy or broken. Honestly, just be careful with who you trust with your session tokens... it saves a lot of trouble later.
