So i finally saved up and bought this Sony a7iv because everyone said it was the best for video but oh my god the footage looks like there was an earthquake or something. I tried just holding it still but my hands must be shakier than I thought and its just super frustrating because I spent all this money and the videos look terrible. I tried looking up gimbals but honestly i have no idea what im looking at. Some are huge and some look tiny and then people talk about motors and balancing and payload and i feel so stupid like i dont even know what a payload is for a camera. Im trying to film my sisters wedding next month in Chicago and i really need to get this figured out before then but every review video uses all these technical words i dont get. I have about 350 bucks left for this and I really dont want to buy the wrong thing. Is there one that is just easy to use for someone who knows nothing?? Like which one actually works with the Sony Alpha cameras without needing an engineering degree to set up? I just want my videos to stop shaking so much...

Oh man, I totally feel your pain! When I first got my a7iv I thought the internal stabilization would be magic, but honestly, you really need a gimbal for that smooth cinematic look! I remember my first shoot in the city with just the camera and I was so embarrassed when I saw the playback... it was just a shaky mess! For a wedding, you definitely want something lightweight so your arms dont fall off by the reception lol. I absolutely love the DJI RS 3 Mini 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer. It is seriously amazing for the Sony Alpha series because its so tiny but handles the a7iv like a champ. It usually costs around $300 which fits your budget perfectly! Balancing it takes like 10 minutes after watching a quick video. You wont believe how much better your Chicago footage is gonna look!!
