What is the best budget Sigma lens for travel with Canon R5?

What's the best budget Sigma EF lens to adapt to my Canon R5 for a backpacking trip to Japan next month? I usually shoot with heavy L glass but need something cheap and light under $400. Wondering if the older Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art is too bulky or if there's a better compact option I'm overlooking.
