finally pulled the trigger on the Fuji X-T5 for my trip to Japan next month and Im trying to figure out what gear is actually worth the weight. i spent way too much on the body so ive only got like 250-300 left for accessories. i saw everyone raving about the peak design slide lite and those thumb grips but then i read a thread saying the thumb grips block the back command dial which sounds super annoying... and is the strap even necessary if the camera is light? i dont want to carry a ton of junk through Tokyo streets. besides extra batteries what are the absolute must-have travel accessories you guys actually use every day?

I've run tests on power draw and the Fujifilm NP-W235 Li-ion Battery is really the only way to ensure full CIPA ratings. For carrying, the Peak Design Slide Lite Black is technically superior for weight distribution, whereas the Peak Design Cuff Camera Wrist Strap Black is lighter for simple street snaps. Thumb grips usually just get in the way of the AF-ON button anyway, tbh dont bother.

^ This. Also, I honestly disagree about just a strap being enough! When I was in a packed Kyoto subway, someone bumped me hard and I almost ruined my gear. You absolutely need a ULBTER Fujifilm X-T5 Screen Protector Tempered Glass to stay safe! I also love using a SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB SDXC UHS-II V90 because those 40MP files are huge and fast write speeds are amazing for street shots... totally worth it!
