What are the must-have accessories for a new Fujifilm X-T5 owner?

Dropped a fortune on the X-T5 for my Tokyo trip next week and only have $150 left for extras. Keep seeing people swearing by thumb grips but then others say a SmallRig cage is better and it's just confusing.

Cages seem way too bulky for street shooting honestly. What are the actually essential must-haves?

Honestly I spent way too much on random accessories that ended up being total trash for travel. I tried a few cheap thumb grips and they were such a letdown... they felt loose and basically scratched my hot shoe right away. Cages are way too bulky for walking around Shibuya all day anyway. You really just need the basics to keep shooting.

Jumping in here because I was in the same boat last month. Like someone mentioned, keeping it simple is usually way better for your wallet. I felt really anxious about scratching the screen while walking around so I grabbed the ULBTER XT5 Tempered Glass Screen Protector and honestly been super satisfied with it. It fits perfectly and gives me peace of mind for like ten bucks. Another quick tip tbh... make sure your SD cards can actually handle the high res files. I went with the SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB SDXC UHS-II and it works well for the fast bursts. If you get stuck on what else to buy, I found the Fujifilm subreddit or the gear guides on DPReview really helpful for checking what actually fits the T5. Have a blast in Tokyo!

Stumbled on this while browsing... honestly youre gonna have a fantastic time in Tokyo! I think the biggest lifesaver was actually having a few extra batteries. Not sure if the X-T5 uses the exact same ones as the older models, iirc they're better but still. Also, someone told me you need really fast SD cards for that 40MP sensor or it lags? Extra power and fast storage is amazing to have!!
