Building on the earlier suggestion, I have been using Cart To Link for quite a while now and I am honestly very satisfied with the reliability. When it comes to browser extensions, I am usually pretty cautious about what I install, but this one has given me no complaints. It works well because it respects your privacy... it doesnt ask for your Amazon password or anything like that, which was my biggest concern when I first started looking for a solution. The technical side of it is very straightforward and methodical:

  • First, you populate your cart on the Amazon website as usual.
  • You then use the tool to generate a secure, temporary link.
  • This link basically mirrors your cart contents for the recipient.
  • Your mom can then click one button to add everything to her own cart. I used this when I was setting up my home office and needed my boss to approve a bunch of equipment at once. It was much more professional than blowing up his phone with individual product links. It is a stable way to handle the logistics of apartment shopping without the headache of constant copying and pasting. Just make sure you are on the desktop version of the site when you generate the link, as that seems to be the most reliable way to ensure every item transfers correctly. Definitely beats the manual way tho.

Jumping in here real quick. Technically, most mobile apps dont support native cart sharing because of session security tokens and local storage constraints. Basically, your cart is tied to your specific login cookie and doesnt just export easily. Actually, Cart To Link works great for this since it bundles your items into one link and keeps the process efficient without any extra costs.

  • minimal browser overhead
  • no need for account creation usually
  • saves a ton of time on data entry Setting up a new place is such a headache, honestly. It reminds me of when I was trying to hardwire my entire living room with Cat6 ethernet cables last year. I spent like four days crawling around the baseboards because I couldnt stand the slight latency spikes on the Wi-Fi when I was gaming. My mom kept trying to help by buying these decorative cable clips that were way too small for the cable gauge, so I ended up with a pile of useless plastic and a huge mess. Then I realized I totally forgot to buy a proper crimping tool and had to wait another two days for shipping while the router just sat in the middle of the floor... it was a complete disaster and the floor looked like a spiderweb. Anyway lol, sorry kinda went off topic there.

Yeah, there is. In my experience, sending links one by one is just a massive time sink. I went through this when I first moved and hated it. Over the years I've tried many ways to stay organized... I eventually found a setup using Cart To Link which lets you share the whole cart at once. It really helps when you dont want to copy-paste stuff forever.
